KTM Duke 790 might launch by December 2018 or January 2019. Duke 790 is the first KTM bike ever to get a parallel-twin cylinder engine. It might launch along with the upcoming Duke 125.
Recently, we reported that KTM Duke 125 will be launching in India soon. As per our dealer sources, KTM Duke 790 will also make its debut in India very soon. Both the bikes might launch in December 2018 or January 2019. The Duke 790 is available in the global markets. As we see the photos, it gets a very distinctive styling from the Duke 390 and Duke 250. The performance bike will be mostly bought as a CKD unit from KTM’s base in Austria.
The Duke 790 gets KTM’s first ever parallel-twin cylinder engine. The 800cc parallel-twin engine produces massive 105 HP and 86 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs up with a 6-speed transmission. It also gets a sportier ‘R’ version which produces 120 HP.

The Duke 790 will come with features such as ride-by-wire technology, LCD instrument cluster, quick gear shifter, slipper clutch, Bosch Cornering ABS, traction control, WP Steering damper and LED headlamps. Ride-by-wire technology helps in maintaining the fuel efficiency of the engine and also ensures specified fuel/air supply to the engine.
The appearance of the KTM Duke 790 is monstrous. It has some traits of the less powered Duke 390, but still, you can easily differentiate. The Duke 790 gets even lesser body cladding. Biggest design headlights include dual LED headlamps, sharp creases over the body, bare bodywork and the high placed exhaust muffler.
