The 300cc engine in one of the Jawa Motorcycles has been unveiled officially. The other two remaining bikes will get engines in the range of 250-400cc. The launch is happening in December.
Good News! We now have some information on the Jawa Motorcycles. The 293cc engine going to be used in one of the motorcycles has been revealed. As per our dealer sources, 3 Jawa Motorcycles will come with engines ranging from 250cc to 400cc. The launch is happening in December and the deliveries will start in January. The source also mentioned that Jawa and Yezdi, both will be launched. We all are excited, aren’t we?
The 293cc engine revealed is a BS-VI compliant liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This engine produces 27 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque. Jawa claims that it gives a generous mid-range and a flat torque curve. The engine has been developed in Italy as well as in India.

The company claims that one of their main focus is to maintain its original exhaust note. As seen, it also features dual overhead camshafts, leading to a dual exhaust system.
The Mahindra Mojo also gets a similar 295cc engine that produces 23.1 HP and 25 Nm. However, defying our earlier reports, the Jawa Motorcycles will get whole new developed engines onboard.
If the motorcycles are ranging from 250cc to 400cc, there are chances that 2 Jawa bikes might come. The left one might come under the name of Yezdi. Most of the Yezdi models were either 250cc or under 250cc. So, we expect a 250cc engine might also come with the Yezdi.

The most powerful engine might be a 350cc engine. The last Jawa which came was the Jawa 350. So, there are chances that the third bike under this name would be launched.
The new Jawa Motorcycles will retain the retro look with the round headlamps, single seating, lots of chrome inserts and of course, the exhaust note. However, it might offer some latest features such as ABS, Fuel Injection and such.
Talking about the price, our dealer source said that it will be priced below the Mojo bikes. So, we expect the Jawa Motorcycles would be priced starting at Rs 1.30 Lakhs onwards. Its prime competitor, Royal Enfield bikes also start at Rs 1.16 Lakhs.
