Maruti Ciaz is now the best selling premium sedan in India. Total 24,000 units of Ciaz have been sold from April – September 2018 in India. The total market share of Ciaz in the premium sedan segment is 28.8%.
It’s been just one month since the launch of Maruti Ciaz facelift and already it has garnered 10,000 bookings. Along with this, it now becomes India’s best selling premium sedan with a total market share of 28.8% in the premium sedan segment. Now premium sedan includes Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid, and Volkswagen Vento. Well, undoubtedly another Maruti car is touching the skies with its sales figures. The facelift received many new upgrades along with visual changes and a new petrol engine.
From April to September, Maruti Suzuki has sold total 24,000 units of Ciaz. The 10,000 bookings are made just from August to September. Since the launch of Ciaz in 2014, the sedan has garnered around 2.34 Lakh sales unit. Maruti also claims that Nexa Blue contributes over 25% of total Ciaz sales. It means that every 1 out 3 premium sedan buyers prefers the Ciaz.

Maruti Ciaz facelift came with a lot of new features onboard. On the exterior, it gets LED projector headlamps, LED tail lights and DRLs. Inside the cabin, it gets a revised 17.8 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, voice command and steering mounted audio controls. Other features include cruise control, push start-stop button, rear AC vents, tilt adjustable steering and more.
Standard safety features on the Maruti Ciaz include Rear parking sensors, speed alert system, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, and ISOFIX. Other than that, it gets Auto Headlamps with Auto levelling, Auto Day/Night IRVM, Reverse parking camera, ESP with hill-hold control and LED fog lamps.

The Facelift Ciaz gets a new 1.5 Litre SHVS petrol engine along with the same 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. The petrol engine gives out 107 HP power and 138 Nm torque. The diesel variant gives out 88 HP power and 200 Nm torque. 5-speed manual transmission and 4-speed AT come with the petrol variant and the diesel gets only 5-speed MT.
Visual changes onboard include a new set of alloy wheels, heavy chrome detailing surrounding the front grille and fog lamp housing and a revised front grille too. It now looks much sporty yet premium.

The prices of Maruti Ciaz start from Rs 8.19 Lakhs and go up to Rs 10.97 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices). It comes in total 4 variants in petrol and diesel manual and 3 variants in petrol automatic option.
