After the Aspire facelift, the next in line is the Ford Figo facelift. Reportedly, the facelifted hatchback is going to launch in India by March 2019. For the previous month, Figo has reported a comparatively low demand.
In September 2017, Ford Figo made a decent sales figure of 1160 units. While, this year in September, the figure is down to a mere 5. It is time that Ford gives a facelift to its hatchback. Recently, the Ford Aspire facelift was launched in India. Some months back, Ford India confirmed that it will launch the facelifts of Aspire, Figo, Endeavour and Mustang before the end of this fiscal year. So, the next in line is Ford Figo facelift, which is reportedly going to launch by March 2019.
We have spotted test mules of the Ford Figo facelift on Indian roads. There was one such test model which had a CNG sticker on the boot mirror. This leads us to believe that Ford might offer CNG kits in the low-end variants.
The current Figo comes with a lot of outdated features, which may not appeal to the buyers of the segment. While Figo’s bitter rivals Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift come with latest features in hand. That’s the main reason for its declining sales performance over the month.

Moving on towards the Ford Figo Facelift, it will probably get the same specs and the same feature list of Ford Aspire facelift. Like literally, every single feature and engine specification between the Aspire and Figo will be the same.
So, expect a revised bumper with the ‘C’ shaped chrome detail, a revised front grille, a new set of alloy wheels in the top variants and a sportier bumper to feature in the Figo facelift. The side portion of the facelifted hatchback will remain as it is.
Like the Aspire facelift, the Figo will also get the new petrol engine. It will come equipped with the new 1.2 Litre Dragon Petrol engine and the same 1.5 Litre petrol engine for the top-end trims. Also, the dual-clutch transmission will be replaced with a 6-speed torque converter unit.

The Dragon petrol engine produces 96 HP power and a peak torque of 120 Nm. The other petrol engine dolls out 123 BHP max. and peak torque of 150 Nm. This engine is one of the most powerful ones in this segment. Well, we all know Ford always gives much power to its cars than most of the rivals.
The 1.5L diesel engine is most likely to be continued over from the current Figo.
Moving on to the features, it is the same feature list of Aspire. So, the Ford Figo facelift might come with the following features:
- Gear Shift Indicator
- 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- 6.5-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (Titanium+)
- Auto Climate Control
- Rear Defogger
- Push Button Start
- Hill Start Assist (Auto)
- ESP (Auto)
- Traction Control (Auto)
- Dual USB Ports

Safety features onboard would include Dual Front Airbags, ABS with EBD and Rear Parking sensors as standard fitments. The high-end variants will receive 6-airbags and a reverse parking camera.
Talking about the prices, the prices of the Aspire facelift were cut down. So, since most of the specs are same between the Aspire and Figo, the hatchback could also face the axe on its prices. Currently, the Figo starts from Rs 5.61 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 8.25 Lakhs. The Figo facelift might cost anywhere from Rs 5.45 Lakhs and go up to Rs 8 Lakhs.
