In the ongoing festive season, TVS Jupiter Grande has been launched in India. It gets new features, a new colour and comes in drum and disc brakes options. Check out the prices, features and specifications.
TVS has launched a special edition of its beloved Jupiter scooter for the festive season. The TVS Jupiter Grande has been introduced with new features and a new colour option. The special edition is available in drum and disc brake variants. The Drum brake option carries a price tag of Rs 55,936 and the disc brake goes for Rs 59,648 (ex-showroom New Delhi). Now, the TVS Jupiter range comes in total 5 variants – Base, ZX, ZX Disc, Classic and Grande. You can read more about the Jupiter here.
New features onboard include a LED headlamp with position lamps, Digital Analog meter with Econometer, Independently adjustable shocks and diamond cut alloy wheels. The cosmetic upgrades include a premium cross stitched maroon seat, Starlight Blue colour, ‘Grande’ badge, Beige panels, and stylish chrome highlights.

TVS Jupiter Grande is the first TVS scooter to get a LED headlamp unit. Ntorq gets LED DRLs and normal headlamps. TVS gives the adjustable shocks suspension for a more comfortable experience.
The TVS Jupiter Grande gets no mechanical updates. It still continues with the 109.7cc air-cooled engine. The Jupiter churns out power worth 7.9 BHP and 8 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to CVT gearbox.

The mileage estimate of the scooter is around 55 kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the Jupiter is 5 Litres, giving a total riding range of 250 kms. The top speed of the scooter is around 85 km/hr.
Already available features on the TVS Jupiter Grande include external fuel filler cap, pass light, retractable bag hooks, Mobile charging slot inside the boot, dual side handle lock and an optional disc brake variant.
Currently, Jupiter is the 2nd best selling scooter in India. It falls majorly behind the Honda Activa but has managed to maintain its second position for many months. It is an ideal competitor to the Honda Activa 5G.

Now, the range of TVS Jupiter starts from Rs 51,488 and goes up to Rs 59,648. At this price, it comes very near to the 125cc Ntorq. While Ntorq is a much more advanced scooter than Jupiter, but its sporty and funky looks are ideal for the youngsters. So for a suitable family scooter, Jupiter is a better choice.
