Classic 500 Pegasus owners are crying foul after the similar looking Classic Signals 350 was given ABS feature. For the problems, Royal Enfield offers 3 different solutions and the owners can choose whichever solution they want.
Last month, Royal Enfield launched the limited edition Classic 500 Pegasus. The theme of the bike is inspired by the Flying Flea, a bike used by British Paratroopers during World War II. Only 250 units were launched in India and all of them were booking in under 2 minutes. The theme of the bike, when launched, was unique and was not seen on any recent RE bikes. However, within some time, RE Classic Signals 350 was launched in India which looked very similar to Pegasus. Following which, Pegasus owners cried foul and have been complaining since.
The Flying Flea was a 2-stroke lightweight bike. It was so light that the bike was parachuted to the battleground and in difficult terrain, it could be carried on the shoulder. The bike was sold in large numbers to the British Army in 1943. Inspired by this, RE built the Classic Pegasus 500.

Now, owners of Classic 500 Pegasus feel that they have been cheated. Some of them have threatened to throw away their Pegasus bikes in the garbage. The main reason for this problem is that the similar looking Signals 350 also gets ABS, which Pegasus does not get.
Following these events, RE has offered 3 different solutions for the angry Classic 500 Pegasus owners. The owners can choose between any three solutions and all the dealerships will help the owners with the solutions. Following are the three solutions:
- Full refund in return of the Classic 500 Pegasus
- One year extended warranty and two free services
- Exchange the Classic 500 Pegasus with Gunmetal Grey or Stealth Black ABS versions

The Classic 500 Gun Metal Grey or Stealth Black just got a dual-channel ABS setup. Along with this, Classic 350 and Himalayan also get a dual-channel ABS setup.
Moreover, the Classic 350 Signals comes at a much cheaper price tag than the Pegasus. Even Classic 500 ABS is priced cheaper than the Pegasus. However, RE still claims that Pegasus is a lot different from the Signals Edition.
The Pegasus comes with a unique stencilled serial number, military-style canvas panniers bearing the logo, blacked out silencers, rims, pedals, and such cosmetic upgrades. Along with these, it also gets many accessories that you can purchase.

The Pegasus Classic 500 comes with a 499cc air-cooled twin-spark engine. The engine produces 27.2 BHP of power and 41.3 Nm of torque. The weight of the bike is around 194 kgs and estimated top speed is around 130 km/hr. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Pegasus was priced at Rs 2.16 Lakhs. On the contrary, the Signals 350 comes at a price tag of Rs 1.62 Lakhs and the Classic 500 ABS ends at Rs 2.10 Lakhs.
