Maruti Vitara Brezza has managed to score 4-stars in the global NCAP tests. It gets 4 stars for the front occupancy and 2 stars for the rear child occupancy. Along with Brezza, the Nexon also gets 4-stars in the NCAP tests.
Maruti Vitara Brezza took the latest global NCAP crash tests and came out with good results. It has scored 4-stars in the crash tests and joins Nexon as one of the safest compact SUVs in its segment. It gets 4-stars for front adult occupancy and 2 stars for rear child occupancy. The NCAP has also declared the body of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza as stable. Dual front airbags, ABS and ISOFIX are standard fitments across all the variants.
As we see the video, the most damage happens in the front portion. The damage does not even reach the A-Pillar. Moreover, the damage does not reach inside the cabin. The NCAP report says that Maruti Vitara Brezza can take even more damage than this. That’s why it achieves such a high score.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza now locks horns with the Tata Nexon for the safest compact SUV in its segment. Nexon on the other hand also received 4 stars in the crash tests. However, Nexon has achieved 3 stars in rear child occupancy compared to Brezza’s 2-star rating. The main reason for a lower rating was because the dummy was facing in a forward direction.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is the most selling compact SUV in India. For the past two months, it stays ahead of EcoSport and Nexon, by a huge margin. The SUV comes with a 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine and no petrol engine. The diesel engine produces around 89 BHP of power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission along with an optional AMT gearbox.
