Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition has been launched in India, ahead of the festive season. It gets minor cosmetic changes and wireless phone charging. The prices of the special edition start from Rs 11.64 Lakhs onwards.
With the festival season starting, Hyundai has launched the anniversary edition of their popular sedan, Verna. The Hyundai Verna anniversary Edition gets a few cosmetic upgrades and wireless charging on offer. The cosmetic upgrades include a new Marine Blue and Polar White color, front and rear skid plates, black shark fin antenna and black ORVMs. However, in the Polar White color, all the antenna and the ORVM will be body colored. Inside the cabin, it gets all-black seats and blue inserts over the ace vents and knobs. Now, is the time for Hyundai to celebrate because they first entered India was in September 1998 with the Santro. Also, the lovable Santro hatchback is making a return in India next month.

Along with these upgrades, it also gets a special ‘Anniversary Edition’ badge and a rear boot spoiler. The wireless charging feature just came in the Creta facelift and now the Verna gets it too. Also, Hyundai is offering various discounts, offers, and equipment with the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition.
Hyundai is offering exchange benefits of up to Rs 20,000 with the Hyundai Verna anniversary edition. Also, there is a free third party insurance for the second and third year with corporate benefits of Rs 20,000. The special edition is ready for test drives at Hyundai showrooms.

The Hyundai Verna anniversary edition comes only on the SX and SX Auto in petrol and diesel variant. The prices of the special edition SX (O) petrol will be Rs 11.69 Lakhs and Rs 12.83 Lakhs for the Automatic Petrol. The Special edition SX (O) MT diesel is priced at Rs 13.03 Lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Under the hood, it gets no changes. The special edition continues with the 1.4 Litre petrol, 1.6 Litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engine. The 1.4 Litre petrol engine produces 100 BHP of power and 132 Nm of torque. The 1.6L petrol engine gives out 123 BHP of power and 151 Nm of torque. The diesel engine output 128 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque. The 1.4L engine comes only with 6-speed MT. The other engines come with 6-speed MT along with an optional 6-speed AT.

Features onboard include cooled glove box, ventilated seats, projector headlamps with LED DRL, cruise control, electric sunroof, wireless charging, touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls, Hands-Free Smart Trunk, Height Adjustable seats, voice recognition, and rear AC vents.
For safety, the Verna comes with ABS with EBD and dual airbags as standard fitment. It gets 6 airbags, reverse parking sensors with a camera, ISOFIX, Day and night IRVM, Automatic Headlamps and keyless entry.

As earlier, it goes against the Honda City, new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, and Toyota Yaris.
