KTM has confirmed that it will be launching a new type of dirt bike, also known as Enduro bike, in India with a brand new 350 CC engine. This new engine made for the Indian market will also be launched with the upcoming KTM Duke 350.
The 350 CC Enduro bike is named the KTM Freeride 350. The power unit is capable of producing more power but has been tuned to develop 24 BHP of maximum power only. Since it is a type of dirt bike, it’s body frame is quite solid yet feather light. Despite having a 350 CC engine the bike weighs 99 kg only. The fuel injection system provides just enough power which is never too much.
The bike features a slim and noise reducing double pipe exhaust system which makes it city traffic ready.

The bike is new model which is yet to be introduced officially at the global level and as per the information available it will be presented at the upcoming EICMA Motorcycle Fair in Milan, Italy in November.
With this new type of bike, which is an advanced version of a typical dirt bike with added headlamps, the company wishes to introduce the thrill of Motocross among the Indian riders who are yet deprived of it.
As mentioned above, the engine of this bike will also be used in the Duke 350 which is supposed to come later in 2012 but interestingly the Duke will have better power and torque figures. We do want to see people getting some Motocross experience here and await the launch of Freeride 350.
