The upcoming Tata 45X hatchback has been spotted testing on a racetrack. The premium hatchback will launch in first half of 2019 to take on Baleno and i20. The expected price of the hatchback is Rs 5-9 lakhs.
Recently, the upcoming Tata Harrier was spotted on the Kari Motor Speedway for steering and suspension tuning. This indicates that Tata will give some sporty performance feature in this SUV. Now, after the SUV, its Tata 45X hatchback has been spotted testing on the Speedway. We have the spy images of the hatchback, courtesy Autocar India. The track testing is for fine tuning of suspension, dynamics tuning and high-speed testing. The concept model of 45X was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Tata 45X hatchback was spotted earlier where we could get a taste of its interiors. It gets a floating touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the Nexon. However, the one spotted on the hatchback is a bit bigger than the one on Nexon. Further, the ac vents and knobs were similar to that of the Nexon. However, it gets the T shaped centre console. A similar type of console comes in the Tata Harrier.
To compete with Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20, it will come with similar features. We expect it to be equipped with projector headlamps along with LED DRLs and LED tail lights, floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Smart Key, Push Button Start, Wearable Key, Auto Climate Control and more.
