Mahindra XUV 300 has been spied again and this time, with an Electric Sunroof. The compact SUV might launch in this year to take on Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon. It is expected to be priced starting from Rs 6.5 Lakhs up to Rs 10 Lakhs.
The Mahindra XUV 300 has been spied two times over the weekend. However, one spy photo has caught our attention. The XUV 300 will come with an electric sunroof in the top-end variant. Currently, only WR-V and EcoSport offer factory fitted sunroofs. Tata Nexon also offers a sunroof, but its an accessory but has to be bought separately. The Mahindra compact SUV will launch this year, as confirmed at the Marazzo launch. We expect it to be priced starting from around Rs 6.5 Lakhs up to Rs 10 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It was also spotted testing on the Leh-Manali highway at a petrol pump. The SUV is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli, which is available in the global markets.

Electric sunroofs have recently started coming on affordably priced cars. Earlier, they used to come only in Mercedes, BMWs and other premium sedans. Sedans like Verna, Honda City and SUVs such as Ford EcoSport and Honda WR-V come with electric sunroofs. With this feature, it shows that it will be premium compact SUV and will provide a lot of features.
The XUV 300 will come with an all-new 1.5 Litre diesel engine, which comes in the new Mahindra Marazzo. This diesel engine produces around 121 BHP of power and 240 Nm of torque. It will also come with a 1.2 Litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine produces around 141 BHP of power and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is going to come with a 6-speed MT along with optional 6-speed AT.

The Mahindra XUV 300 will come with features such as LED headlamps with DRLs, LED rear lights, Touchscreen Infotainment, Electric Sunroof, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Reverse parking camera, Electrically adjustable ORVMs and more. Except for these features, it might also get some extra premium features over the time.
In terms of safety features, it will come with dual front airbags, ABD with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and reverse parking sensors as standard fitment. Along with these features, it might get 6-airbags, hill climb and hill descent control and more safety features. Its rivals also come with a similar feature list onboard.

Lastly, it might cost starting from Rs 6.5 Lakhs up to Rs 10 Lakhs. Currently, Mahindra has its every model from micro SUV up to premium SUV. The Mahindra Marazzo MPV is the newly launched one in the market. Also, Mahindra Y400 (XUV 700) is going to launch this year. The XUV 300 will take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
