Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 specifications have been revealed. The RE Twins are going to launch globally between 22-26 September. The Interceptor 650 is expected to cost around Rs 3 Lakhs and the GT 650 might cost a little high at around Rs 3.5 Lakhs.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 And Interceptor 650 Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 are geared up for their launches scheduled in September. The Twins will first launch globally, following which, we can expect the launch in India by early 2019. Some recent scoops say that the user guide of the Royal Enfield has been leaked and we can see all the technical details in this leaked guide. A reader of Team-BHP has shared a photo of the user guide manual. Also, the bookings for both the bikes will officially begin in November 2018. Currently, India has the Continental GT 535, which has been globally discontinued. The GT 650 is sort of a cafe racer and the Interceptor 650 is more like a Street bike. GT comes in single seating arrangement with optional two seats.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 come with a 648cc parallel twin-cylinder air-cooled engine. This engine produces 47 BHP @ 7100 RPM of power and 52 Nm @ 5200 RPM of power. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with wet multi-plate, assist and slipper clutch transmission.
The GT 650 comes with a fuel capacity of 12.5 Litres and a reserve tank capacity of 1.5 Litres. The Interceptor 650 comes with a 13.7-liter fuel tank and reserve fuel tank of 0.75 Litres. We can estimate a mileage of around 20 KMPL of both the bikes, which is ideal for a 600cc bike. The top speed of both the bikes is around 160 km/hr.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 come with a steel tubular and double cradle frame. In the front, it gets a 41 mm Dia front fork suspension and in the rear, it gets Twin Coil-over shocks suspension. For front brakes, it uses a 320 mm floating disc and in the rear, it used 240 mm disc. For better safety, it gets a dual-channel ABS.
As we can see the dimensions, the Interceptor 650 is a bigger motorcycle than the GT 650. The Twins measure 2122 mm in length and also get same wheelbase and seat height measurements. The GT 650 measures 1024 mm in height, whereas the Interceptor measures 1165 mm. Also, the total width differs as the Interceptor is around 24 mm wider. The GT 650 weighs around 198 kgs and the Interceptor weighs 202 Kgs.

Features onboard include Sculpted Tank, Clip-on handlebars, Front and Rear Disc Brakes with dual-channel ABS, Halogen headlamps, Twin Pod Speedometer, Single Person Seat (Optional on Continental GT 650) and Upswept Twin Exhaust.
