The Yamaha R15 V3 Moto GP Edition has launched in India at the price of Rs 1.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Recently, it had also put up a teaser saying “Coming Soon; The Call Of The Blue”. The latest edition of the bike gets the globally popular ‘Racing Blue’ color scheme. Globally, almost all the scooters and bikes of Yamaha get this special edition. It gets a new color scheme with some graphics and decals over the body. It still continues with the 155cc Liquid Cooled FI engine. The bookings for this bike begin today (16th August) and the deliveries are scheduled to start in September. The standard variant of the bike retails at Rs 1.25 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Along with this, Yamaha FZ-S FI also get two new colour schemes. Check out the images and details of this special edition bike.

The Yamaha R15 V3 Moto GP edition gets a new livery in a racing blue paint scheme. It gets a ‘Movistar’ log on the front cowl and the side panels, along with an ‘ENEOS’ logo on the engine belly plan. Rest, it receives some decals over the body including two of ‘Yamalube’. Barring that, there is no change when compared to the regular R15 V3. The Yamaha R15 V3 Moto GP Edition basically derives its looks from the original Yamaha Moto GP factory bikes.

Powering the Yamaha R15 V3 Moto GP Edition is the same 155cc single cylinder-fuel injected engine. This engine churns out 19 BHP @ 10,000 RPM of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a slipper clutch with a 6-speed Manual Transmission. For comfort, it gets a swing-arm type suspension. However, the global-spec gets a different wheelbase and uses USD front forks. It records an average mileage of around 32 KMPL. The top-speed recorded on the R15 is around 136 km/hr.
Moving on to the features, the latest iteration gets many premium features over the V2. It gets Split-Dual LED headlamps, Clip-on handlebars, tank protector, split seats, a new digital instrument cluster, new rear view mirrors and LED tail lamps. Despite all of this, its biggest feature is that it gives its rider, a much-dedicating riding position. This bike is the cheapest superbike and is the closest that can take you to the tracks.

Lastly, the competition of the Yamaha R15 V3 goes on with Yamaha FZ 25, KTM RC200, Suzuki Gixxer SF and the now defunct, Honda CBR 150R. Well, it does not compete directly with anybody because sportsbike are less under the budget of Rs 1.5 Lakhs. But still, it is one of the most preferred low-budget performance bikes.
Also, Yamaha FZ-S FI Rear Disc gets two new color scheme options. It gets ‘Darknight’ and ‘Matte Green’ options. Currently, the naked bike comes in only Midnight Blue color. It is priced at Rs 87,042 (ex-showroom Delhi). FZ-S in new color schemes is also available at showrooms starting today.
