Ford Figo 2018 Facelift Launch Date, Price, Features And Specs

Amongst the compact premium hatchback segment, almost every car has received a recent facelift. One of the few left is the Figo. The Ford Figo 2018 Facelift version is expected to launch around October 2018. It will get some minor cosmetic updates, but bigger changes in the interiors and the features list.

Ford India recently announced that it will launch 4 new facelift versions of cars from its current lineups. The list includes Ford Figo Aspire, Ford Figo, Endeavour and Mustang GT. While the latter two are scheduled for a facelift in 2019, the former ones will come this year. The Ford Figo 2018 facelift version is expected to launch by October 2018. It will some minor cosmetic changes on the exteriors and interiors. The biggest addition to the hatchback is the new 1.2 Litre Petrol engine geared to a new Torque Converter gearbox. Other than this, it gets an upgraded feature list and reworked cabin mostly copied from the Ford Freestyle. The current price starts at Rs 5.51 Lakhs, which are expected to go up a little. It is expected to cost starting from Rs 5.2 Lakhs to Rs Rs 8.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Read ahead to know more about the hatchback.

Ford Figo 2018 facelift Launch Date

As per Ford’s announcement, Figo and Aspire both are expected to launch this year. Currently, the production for the Aspire has stopped. So, the Aspire might get the facelift earlier than the Figo. However, Figo Facelift is expected to launch anytime around October 2018.

Ford Figo 2018 facelift Expected Price

Currently, the prices of Figo are from Rs 4.82 Lakhs to Rs 8.15 Lakhs. However, with a new powerful engine and upgraded feature list, it is expected to demand some premium over the outgoing model. Expect the car to be priced starting from Rs 5.2 Lakhs to Rs 8.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ford Figo 2018 facelift Design

The facelift version will not get much design upgrades. It will get a new front bumper, new design bonnet and new mesh front grille with chrome finishing. In the front, it will get new projector headlamps with LED DRLs. In the rear, it will get new LED tail lights and tweaks in the rear bumper. Also, it might get new 14-inch alloy wheels for the top-spec trims. The interiors of the car will be similar to the Freestyle. It will feature a new 6.75-inch touchscreen SYNC3 infotainment with Android Auto and AppleCarplay, steering mounted controls, push start-stop button, revised dashboard colour and fabric upholstery seats. The hatchback might also get larger air conditioner vents with the automatic climate control.

Ford Figo 2018 facelift Engine

Currently, the car comes with a 1.2 Litre Dragon petrol, 1.5 Litre petrol and 1.5 Litre TDCi diesel engines. It is speculated to get a newly worked and powerful 1.2 Litre petrol engine that produces around 96 BHP worth of power and 130 Nm worth of torque. In addition to this, the new Figo will have The automatic gearbox might be replaced by 6-speed torque converters. It will continue with 5-speed Manual gearbox. The petrol variant will give a mileage figure of around 20 KMPL, diesel will give around 25 KMPL and the 1.5-litre petrol will give 18 KMPL.

Ford Figo 2018 facelift Competition

Currently, it comes in the premium compact hatchback segment. This is the ideal segment ranging from Rs 5 Lakhs to Rs 9 Lakhs, which attracts most of the new buyers. Figo currently competes with Maruti Swift, Honda Brio, Nissan Micra, Hyundai i10 Grand, Toyota Etios Liva and Tata Tiago. Swift was the latest one to get a whole new generation update. However, Micra and Brio are still left to get some latest features. Moreover, this segment caters to the probably, some first-time buyers. So, for them, these hatchbacks come with most of the features present in the premium hatchback or even compact sedan segment. The Figo was also left behind in terms of latest features, but with this upgrade, it will get a fierce competitor.
