The 2019 Jeep Renegade comes with minor cosmetic updates. It is expected to launch in India with a price tag of INR 9 Lakh. Hence, it will act as a direct rival for the Hyundai Creta. It will make its debut in India sometime during early 2019.
Jeep India is in consideration to launch the 2019 iteration of the Renegade Compact SUV in India. This product is going to be the American manufacturer’s second made in India product for India. This new compact SUV will sit below the Compass in the automaker model line-up in our country. Hence, its prices will fall in-between the range of INR 9 lakh to 14 lakh. As a result of this, this SUV’s primary competition is going to be the current segment leader, Hyundai Creta.
According to recent developments, it is likely that Jeep will debut the 2019 iteration of the Renegade in September this year. Consequently, we are expecting to the 2019 Jeep Renegade reach Indian shores sometime during the first quarter of 2019. The automaker has already started testing this vehicle in India.

The Renegade comes with a very rugged exterior design. Unlike other vehicles in its competition, it is the only one with proper off-road aesthetics. From the front, it comes with large circular headlamps, the traditional Jeep multi-slat grille and a stout bumper. The side profile might appear boxy to some at the front glance but it helps this car project a dominating road presence. Similar is the case with the rear fascia of this vehicle.

The cabin of the 2019 Jeep Renegade is expected to feature a decent equipment list. In addition to this, it will have a very ergonomic and user-friendly layout. We hope that Jeep does not compromise on the material quality of the cabin. This is because the cabin quality and premium nature are what the buyers in this compact SUV segment are currently looking for.

In terms of features, expect this SUV to come with a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, steering mounts audio controls and other creature comforts. In addition to this, the 2019 Renegade will also have dual-airbags with ABS and EBD as standard across the range. However, the higher model will also come with multiple airbags. The range-topping variants will also come with several drivers assist features. Like electronic stability control, hill-start assist and traction control.

So far there is no concrete information regarding the engine specifications of the 2019 Jeep Renegade. Recent reports suggest that this vehicle could feature a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available. It will also come with a 1.4-litre petrol engine as well. Mileage is expected to be around the mark of INR 15 to 16 km/l for petrol. And for diesel, it is going to be around 18 to 20 km/l. This SUV will get a two-wheel drive layout as standard while it will also come with an optional four-wheel drive variant.
Due to its price point, the Jeep Renegade will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano.
