The Mahindra XUV700 will retail as the flagship product for the homegrown automaker in India. Its prices are likely to fall in the range of INR 20 Lakh to 25 lakh. It is expected to launch in India in the next couple of months.
Mahindra and Mahindra is currently working on an all-new flagship product for their model line-up in India. Called the XUV700, this new SUV will take up its place above the currently on sale Mahindra XUV500. This product made its first Indian debut at the 2018 auto Expo. The Mahindra XUV700 is essentially based on the 2018 Ssangyong Rexton. And is going to come to India wearing the Mahindra badge and its indigenous styling cues. We are expecting the automaker to launch this vehicle in India sometime during the second half of this year. Probably around the festive season.
Due to its local manufacturing, the Mahindra XUV700 is likely to fall in the price range of INR 20 lakh to 25 lakh. As a result of this, it will undercut its competitors by a good margin. This will make it compete against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and to the Jeep Compass to some extent. By design, this product will share most of its styling cues with the SsangYong Reston. However, it will have certain Mahindra aesthetic attributes.
