The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is going to replace the Xylo from the automaker’s model line-up. It is going to come only in a single P4 variant. It will get a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 120 BHP along with 280 Nm of peak torque.
Mahindra and Mahindra is soon going to launch an extended, 7-seater version of the TUV300 SUV in India. It is going to be called the TUV300 Plus. Curtsey Team BHP, the brochure of this new 7-seater family vehicle has been revealed on the internet. Consequently, this hints towards its launch in the near future.
The Mahindra TUV300 retails in India as a compact, 5-seater SUV. It competes with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Honda WR-V. The TUV300 Plus, its 7-seater iteration is going to replace the Xylo in Mahindra’s model line-up. Hence, with its increased capacity, it will compete in the budget MPV segment. Consequently, it will rival against the likes of Maruti Ertiga and the others.

By design, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus looks exactly similar to the TUV300. It continues to come with the SUV’s traditional boxy design which gives it a very robust look. It comes with a larger third-row window. At the back, the SUV comes with new wraparound tail-lamps and a boot-lid mounted spare wheel. Rest of the design specifics remain identical to the 5-seater version.

Going by the leaked information, the TUV300 Plus is going to retail only in a single ‘P4’ variant. As a result, we are not expecting this SUV to come with a host of features. On the kit-front, it will get power windows, air-conditioning, central locking, internally adjustable ORVMS, 12V charging socket and an adjustable steering wheel. The cabin of the TUV300 Plus will have a very simplistic layout. The dashboard is going to have a dual tone colour scheme of black and beige.

Under the hood, the TUV300 Plus is going to get a 2.2-litre diesel engine. This oil-burner is capable of producing 120 BHP of power along with 280 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. No automatic gearbox is going to be on offer with this vehicle.

In terms of safety, we are expecting Mahindra to provide the TUV300 Plus with dual-airbags and ABS as standard across the range. In addition to this, this SUV is also going to get seat belt warning light, door ajar warning, seat belt pretentioners to name a few.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus prices are going to fall in the price range of INR 7.50 Lakh to 9.50 Lakh.
