The new generation Maruti Ertiga was recently spied testing in Indonesia. It was earlier spotted testing in Delhi. Reports say that the new Ertiga with a bigger body is set to be revealed at the International Indonesia Motor Show.
Maruti Ertiga is one of the highest selling MPVs in India as well as Indonesia. In Indonesia, MPVs are used extensively, following which the new Ertiga might be revealed first in the IIMS 2018.
Research and viral images suggest that the new Maruti Ertiga will have a bigger body than the current Ertiga supported by the new HEARTECH platform. Ertiga will also get a higher wheelbase longer than 2450 mm. The recent images show upgraded tail lights, new stop lamp, and higher spec wheels.

Other visible features include projector headlamps daytime running headlights, LED tail lamps and center adjusted rear wiper. Ertiga comes with the same dashboard layout and same touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It might also come with additional features like ABS, Climate Control, Rear AC Vents, Remote Keyless Entry and more.
The new Ertiga will be mostly coming with the same engine lineup that is seen on its current model. The 1.4-litre petrol offers 92 BHP power and the 1.3-litre diesel is capable of 90 BHP power. Maruti Suzuki is expected to replace the Fiat-sourced diesel engine with a new 1.5-litre diesel engine developed by Suzuki. The new 1.5-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine which is currently being developed in-house by Maruti Suzuki will replace the current set of the engine at a later stage.

The pricing details are mentioned yet by Maruti Suzuki, but according to the estimates, it might be priced between Rs 7-10 Lakh. The higher pricing will come into effect given the additional features that it will get.
Maruti Suzuki is one of the most sought cars in India and also is the second largest car producer in the world. In the MPV segment, Ertiga holds a major share in comparison to Toyota Innova, Honda B-RV, and Renault Lodgy. Maruti Ertiga is priced lowest amongst everyone else, however, most of them offer various advanced technological features.

Recently, the facelift version of Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched. Following that, plans of facelift version of Ciaz, Vitara, Wagon R, and Ertiga are doing rounds in the market. However, the launch dates and specifications are not yet confirmed.
