Toyota India is all set to launch the 2018 Yaris in India. We have informed you in one of our earlier reports that the launch of this mid-size sedan is going to happen in the month of May 2018. The Yaris will mark the Japanese automaker’s second attempt at taking on the giants in the mid-size sedan segment in India. Its previous attempt with the Etios did not turn out to be as effective as planned. That said, this time, it seems that Toyota will finally hit the right spot. It plans to make the Yaris stand as a tough contender against its rivals by providing it with a host of segment first features.
2018 Toyota Yaris Price
As mentioned before, the Toyota Yaris will compete in the mid-size sedan segment in India. Consequently, the prices of this vehicle are likely to start from INR 8.5 lakhs. The top-of-the-line variant should ideally cost around INR 13.5 lakh.

2018 Toyota Yaris Launch Date
2018 Toyota Yaris Launch DateThe Toyota Yaris made its first public appearance in India during the 2018 Auto Expo. At the event, the senior official at Toyota confirmed that the Yaris will launch in India during the month of May 2018. According to some recent media reports, it is speculated that this sedan might launch on the 24th of April. Nevertheless, the bookings for the Yaris sedan are already open.

2018 Toyota Yaris Engine Specifications
Toyota India has already confirmed that the Yaris will launch in India with only a petrol derivative. Toyota is yet to reveal the exact details about this petrol engine. That said, we already know that this engine is a 1.5-litre motor. The engine will produce close to 108 BHP of power along with 137 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual transmission will be available as standard. In addition to this, buyers will also have the option to choose a 7-step CVT automatic gearbox.

The list includes a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights to name a few. Furthermore, in addition to these, the Yaris also comes with several first in segment features. These are:
