Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new 2018 Maruti Swift recently at the 2018 Auto Expo. The new Swift is based on the new HEARTECT platform that it shares with the Baleno. Being surprisingly light, the petrol manual model weighs just 855 kg. 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift – Drivetrain
The all-new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift carries mildly update versions of the engines used by the previous generation. The 1.2-litre K series petrol engine produces 83 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The Fiat sourced 1.3-litre Multijet engine churns out 75 hp of power and 190 Nm of max torque. Both the engines are offered with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in their VXi/VDi and ZXi/ZDi variants. If you choose to go manual, a 5-speed manual transmission is a standard across all variants.
