2018 Honda Amaze Debut at fast-approaching Delhi Auto Expo. Launch in First-half of This Year
By now it has become fairly well known Honda Cars India has been busy readying the next generation of the Amaze compact sedan. Codenamed Honda-2UB, the new car will offer a more upmarket interior that will be more spacious and feature-laden. The exterior design will see some substantial updates. It is being said that 2018 Amaze would look a lot like a slightly smaller City. Speculations abound that the 2018 Honda Amaze will make its debut at the fast approaching Auto Expo 2018.
The Amaze has been at the receiving end due to lack of many features. While the facelift did spruce up the cabin a fair bit, the interior of the new 2018 Honda Amaze will be a league ahead. Safely expect the car to offer a well-appointed interior with enough space for five passengers. Even the boot space could be higher.

2018 Honda Amaze Launch Date and Price
The new Amaze will launch in the first-half of this year. While the company is yet to give any sort of hint of the launch date, we are hoping to see a pre-production prototype at the Auto Expo 2018. The new Amaze will be a more premium offering than the current model. It will come with many new features and an overall richer experience. Hence, expect a small increment in the prices.

Powering the new 2018 Honda Amaze will be the same set of engines that power the current model. The new-generation model will be based on the same platform as the current car. However, expect a small increment in width. The overall length will continue to be less than four metres. The petrol variants will be powered by a 1.2-litre iVtec four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine while the Diesel variants will get their power from the 1.5-litre iDtec Turbocharged oil burner.
2018 Honda Amaze Design Changes
The next-generation Amaze will borrow many design cues from the City. The City has been the most successful nameplate from Honda Cars India and a City-like styling can really work in favor of the compact sedan. Going by the rendering seen above, the new model Amaze will have a City-like nose, which will comprise of sleek headlamps, chrome-plated grille and an overall sportier look. The top-end variant will probably have a set of LED headlights, which will surely make the front-end look more premium. The side profile will remain mostly the same.
The interior of the new 2018 Honda Amaze, like we said, will offer a more upmarket feel. We are expecting a higher quality of materials along with many new features. Here, again, expect design inspiration from the City. Safely expect a touchscreen infotainment system, touch-enabled air-con controls, and blue-backlit instrumentation.
