Subsidiary brand of the Japanese automaker Nissan, Datsun is yet to officially unveil the GO Cross before the end of this month. Meanwhile, we have compiled all the reports and sightings of the upcoming crossover to bring you the most comprehensive article. Datsun unveiled the GO Cross Concept at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and in the coming weeks, we are finally going to see the production version of the 2018 Datsun GO Cross hit stands.
2018 Datsun GO Cross India Launch Date
The 2018 Datsun GO Cross will launch in India sometime next year and the officials are yet to reveal the exact timeframe. The GO+ in India sits at 3,995 mm length which allows it to enjoy the tax benefit of being an under-4-meter vehicle. The upcoming GO Cross features a new facia which is longer then the GO+ but if Datsun wants to price the upcoming crossover competitively, they would have to keep the length under 4-meter. It would be interesting to see what measures the company employs to reap the benefit. Want to know more about the 2018 Datsun GO Cross, stay tuned to find out.
2018 Datsun GO Cross Design
We thank our friends at Autonetmagz for sharing the image displayed above with us. What we see in the spy shot above is claimed to be a heavily accessorised version of the current Datsun GO+ which highlights the accessories that look identical to that of the GO Cross Concept. Contrary to the reports, the new spy shots released earlier this week make us believe that the vehicle in the image above is indeed the production version of the upcoming 2018 Datsun GO Cross. The car pictured here features similar black inserts, rear underbody protection and rood rails as the 2015 Datsun GO Cross concept.
The front of the hunted vehicle above features a similar nose to that of the GO Cross Concept and even the headlamp design can be noticed under the camouflage. The partially visible rear features a design similar to that of the GO+ and the tail lamps look identical too. The vehicle present in both the images above carry identical alloy wheel design and we think this would be carried over to the production version.
