TVS and BMW joined hands last year to engineer and manufacture the 310 series. TVS has just come up with the counterpart i.e. the Apache RR 310. The new motorcycle features revolutionary design and technology, at least as per TVS standards, to counter the likes of KTM RC series. When comparing the two street sports bikes, the king of the segment, KTM RC 390 simply leaves the new Apache in the dust with its powerful engine, shorter gearing, low weight and insane acceleration. The KTM RC390 feels highly spirited and the low weight helps keep the bike peppy. Cornering on the track, the RC 390 feels sharp and agile with easy shifting from one side to the other.
What works in the Apache’s favour is its not-so-track-dedicated approach. Don’t get me wrong, the Akula will definitely own every race track thrown its way, but the riders in this segment were looking for a not so serious machine, something they can enjoy their daily commute or weekend road-trip on.

TVS Apache RR 310 vs KTM RC390 Price Comparison
The KTM RC 390 comes in two variants and the one with ABS onboard costs INR 2.33 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. This puts the RC 390 at a premium but the price difference is not hard to justify. The RC 390 features better acceleration, top speed and a more powerful engine. The TVS Apache RR 310 benefits from all-around performance and versatility. The bike won’t break your back over weekend runs and would still compete with the RC 390 on track as well. Also the fact that the Apache is engineered in and for India specifically, gives it an edge over its competition. The TVS Apache RR 310 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.05 lakh, which also gives it a lower price over the Katoom.
