Honda has unveiled the upgraded Honda CBR 1000RR Superbike celebrating 20 years of the launch of Honda CBR990RR which was launched in the year 1991. The new CBR1000RR aka Fireblade carries the same powertrain as its predecessor and has got new styling and visual appeal. The new Fireblade 2012 has got improved styling, suspension, improved engine tuning, alloy wheels, better instrument cluster and other cosmetic uplifts.

The cosmetic enhancements in the Fireblade 2012 include the layered main faring and new tail section which gives an aggressive appeal to the aesthetics of this superbike. The front suspensions is a larger 43 mm telescopic inverted fork suspension with Big Piston technology for better stability and braking performance. The rear suspension is based on the double tube technology for better response and smooth ride.

The 4 Cylinder 999 CC MPFI Inline Petrol Engine has been re-tuned for better response on the lower throttle openings. This makes the engine smoother than the predecessor.

The new alloy wheels are more sporty and sport 12 spoke black colored pattern which looks very appealing visually while giving the required strength and balance to the bike. The wheel use aluminum alloys for reduced weight, less unsung mass and better rotary balance of the bike. The Fireblade 2012 features new multi-function LCD display instrument panel with lap timer, gear indicator, tachometer and four different display modes. The new Fireblade looks appealing and is powerful bike with good performance figures.
