Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 will reportedly launch in May-June period
Royal Enfield, the popular South India-based motorcycle company, recently showcased the two new 650cc motorcycles at Rider Mania 2017. Now, as per a report by Carandbike, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 launch will take place in the May-June period.

It is said that production of the new motorcycle is about to start. The 650cc twins made their Indian debut at the Rider Mania 2017 recently. The duo will first go on sale in Europe. Subsequently, the two new Royal Enfield motorcycles will also launch in India. As per a report, the launch date will fall in the May-June period of next year.

The new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 get a new 650cc parallel-twin engine that looks a lot like another RE parallel twin of the yore. That said, the new motor is a thoroughly modern unit and offers a peak power of 47 PS at 7,000 RPM along with a max torque of 52 Nm at 4,000 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and has a SOHC head. The oil-cooler for the engine features a small radiator that is mounted on the double-cradle chassis. The new motorcycle weighs 200 KGs.
