TVS Motor Company, the popular South India-based two-wheeler manufacturer, is readying yet another automatic scooter for the fast-growing gearless scooter segment. It’s very likely that the upcoming model will go on sale as the TVS Graphite. It’s likely to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2018. The Graphite was first seen in its concept avatar at the Auto Expo 2014. It looks like the scooter is finally about to launch in the country. The upcoming new TVS automatic scooter will have a powerful engine along with many premium features. Prices are likely to start at roughly Rs 70,000.

Powering the Graphite will be either a 125cc engine with fuel injection or a 150cc carburetted motor. The new offering will come with several premium features like a navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, digital speedo cluster, multi-information display to show top speed, engine temperature, battery charge status, etc. The upcoming Graphite automatic scooter will have a high top speed and is expected to become a peppier alternative to the likes of Honda Activa 4G.

TVS Graphite India Launch Date
It looks like the South Indian two-wheeler company is in the final stages of testing its upcoming automatic scooter. While there has been no public announcement regarding the launch date of this model, there are good chances that the production-spec TVS Graphite automatic scooter will greet us at the Auto Expo 2018. Subsequently, it will launch in the market to rival either the Activa 125 or the likes of Vespa 150.
TVS Graphite Price in India
Pricing of the Graphite automatic scooter mostly depends on the engine it will come with. The company will launch this model either with a 125cc engine with fuel injection or a 150cc motor with a carburetor. In case of a 125cc engine, expect prices to get as high as Rs 70,000 owing to the costly fuel injection system. On the other hand, a 150cc motor could lead to an even higher price of Rs 75,000. Nothing is clear at the moment but we are sure to get more information at the Delhi Motor Show 2018.
TVS Graphite Specifications
Like we have been saying, specs aren’t clear at the moment. There are good chances of this model boasting a 125 cc engine with fuel injection. On the other hand, there are many rumours about a 150 cc powerplant with a carburettor. Hence, specifications will become clearer only around the time of official debut. Either way, it’s really very likely that the motor will be a peppy unit with healthy specs in terms of power and torque. THe engine will come mated to an AMT with paddle shifters. .
Suspension duties will be performed by a set of 30mm telescopic forks up front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. The production version Graphite will come with a stiff chassis that will aid handling under sporty riding. The scooter will get a disc brake at front. However, some spy images suggest there will be also a drum brake version. Alloy wheels are likely to be standard on both the versions. ABS will be optional on the top-end variant.
TVS Graphite Mileage
Akin to the specs, even the mileage isn’t clear at the moment. A lot will depend on the engine this scooter will come with. In case of a 125cc motor with fuel injection, we can expect as much as 50 kmpl under test conditions. A 150cc engine should offer as much as 40 kmpl. A more accurate guess can be made only when we have a clearer picture of the engine that the Graphite will come with.
TVS Graphite Top Speed
The Graphite scooter will have a true top speed of at least 100 kmph. TVS offers are known for their sporty nature and even the new offering won’t be any different.

TVS Graphite Design
The TVS Graphite automatic scooter made its debut in its concept avatar at the 2014 Auto Expo. The upcoming model looks really attractive and has a modern design with sharp lines and well-sculpted surfaces. We expect the headlight to feature a LED setup. The grab rail for the pillion will be a split unit. Another highlight will be the rather futuristic digital speedo console. it will offer a Multi-information display and satellite navigation. The scooter will even offer a smart electronic key and an immobilizer. There are good chances that the production model would look a lot like the concept we saw at the Expo.
