The Bajaj Boxer X150 sports bits like a raised mudguard and off-road tires, all of which work together to make the bike look more rugged. On the other hand, bits like the alloy wheels hint at this bike being meant more for on-road use than off it. Powering the X150 is the same 144.8cc DTSi engine that came with the now defunct Discover 150. This single-cylinder carbureted engine outputs a maximum power of 12 BHP along with a peak torque of 12.26 Nm. It’s worth a mention here that these specifications are for the export-spec model. The India-spec version could offer slightly different figures.
Currently, there is no adventure motorcycle on sale in the mainstream two-wheeler market. The cheapest Adventure model that you can buy yourself right now is the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which has a 411cc engine and costs north of Rs 1.8 lakh. In comparison, the Boxer X150 will become the only product in the 150cc segment to have design and styling typical of an on-off road motorcycle.
Bajaj Boxer X150 Launch Date
It may be noted here that the Pune-based two-wheeler has already been manufacturing this motorcycle for export to African markets. Hence, it doesn’t need to come up with an altogether new product, from grounds up, for the local market. Instead, it just needs to tune it for our conditions. However, there has been no official plan yet for this bike’s India launch.

Bajaj Boxer X150 Design
The Boxer BX150 is nothing but an adventure-styled Boxer 150. It has a strong resemblance with the BM150 that was on sale in India. However, in order to give it a rugged look, the company has modified the design to a significant extent. Basically, the X150 offers the high practicality of a commuter motorcycle along with some of the capabilities of an on-off road motorcycle. Make no mistake, this one isn’t a full-fledged off-roader. However, bits like a high-rise front mudguard and dual-purpose tires do make it sufficiently capable on rough terrain. Also, stylish body decals, black-painted alloy wheels and a black rear carrier help it look more stylish than the bargain-basement BM150.
