The sports touring motorcycle market is suddenly evolving pretty rapidly. While there’s a small section of buyers that opts for the high-end, purpose-built CBU-imports, there are many who experience the thrill of long-distance motorcycling on considerably cheaper India-made options. Of course, those in the RE clan swear by their steads and have stuck to these retro-styled motorcycles since forever now. However, there’s a new fast-growing segment of buyers who opt for entry-level performance motorcycles for sports touring. One such new motorcycle that seems to be fast catching the fancy of these buyers is the Bajaj Dominar 400. Owners of this motorcycle already have many modification options to make their motorcycles all the more touring-friendly. The modified Dominar you see here carries several such touring-solutions. The many custom bits this bike carries make it one of the best modified Bajaj Dominar 400 motorcycles we have seen so far.

Well, even in terms of design, the DomiStrada has to be the best modified Bajaj Dominar 400 we have seen so far. While there’s not a radical change in the way this motorcycle looks, the various add-ons to make this bike all the more touring-friendly go on to give it a distinct appeal. The specifications table DomiStrada doesn’t seem to carry many modifications. The only modifications the bike seems to carry is the use of spoke wheels instead of alloys. These spoke wheels come shod with off-road tyres. Other than this, Lluvia Industries will also sell you a custom sprocket, which helps reduce vibrations from the drive-chain by a considerable margin. The engine doesn’t seem to carry any modifications. This is the same 373 cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the KTM 390 Duke. The engine comes mated to a six speed manual transmission.
The Dominar 400 enjoys a max. power-torque output of 35 PS-35 Nm. This makes it considerably less powerful than its Duke cousin. However, the lower power leads to higher mileage. The Dominar 400 benefits from BAL’s DTSi Triple Spark Plug technology. The Dominar 400 enjoys a top speed of 148 km/h. Braking comes from disc brakes at both ends. Other highlights include stylish 17-inch alloy, ABS and gas-charged monoshock.
While the CS400 concept has upside down front forks, the Dominar 400 has to make do with conventional telescopic forks. Apart from this slight change, the Dominar 400 mirrors the Pulsar CS400 to a large extent.
