Honda Brio Launched In India– Official Price, Features, Specifications, Pictures, Colour Options And Details

Honda SIEL India is all set to launch its smallest car in India, the Honda Brio. Specially designed for India and Asian countries, Honda Brio is no less than a small wonder. Besides being compact and low in height, Brio is quite wide and handles quite well. Honda Brio will come packed with the same 1.2 Litre 88 PS i-VTEC MPFI Petrol engine which powers the Honda Jazz. The Brio has been newly designed from scratch on a new small car platform by Honda and comes with Petrol engine options only as of now. The official launch is schedules to happen in the last week of September 2011 which is just before the start of festival period in India. At present, Honda’s greater Noida plant has a capacity to produce 5000 units of Brio per month which can be scaled up if needed.

Honda Brio India Ride and Handling

Honda Brio has been already tested by a lot of Indian automobile journalists from many publications prior to its launch. The car handles very well and gives a very good ride comfort. The steering feedback is precise and the ride is quite comfortable as well. However, the bumps on bad roads do get transferred to the cabin, but its overall quite comfortable on average roads.

The gear shift is precise and the gear ratios are tall, which gives it an easy to drive characteristics on busy city roads. The steering is light at low speeds and visibility is quite good from inside, which helps to maneuver the car very easy in the city. On high speeds as well, the car is quite stable and does handle well. All in all, this car is all set to give a very tough competition of the segment leaders like the Maruti Swift and Ford Figo . With its 88 PS of power, it is more powerful when compared to Swift and Figo. The Honda Engine are usually very refined and happy revving, so is the 1.2 i-VTEC and its fun to drive.

Brio gives it competitors all the reasons to worry about as its going to eat up a slice of sales from them.
