It has come to light that a workshop in Bengaluru has come up with a rather interesting customization kit for the TVS Scooty Pep+. It might sound funny, but it’s true that this kit enables your Scooty to look like, hold your breath, a KTM Duke streetfighter! Yes, this customization kit brings along many parts from the KTM Duke bin to help you dress up the rather cutesy Scooty Pep with many panels from the Austrian motorcycle. Of course, all this comes at a price, but the INR 70,000 spent on the kit are sure to give your Scooty an all-new identity. Read on for more on this modified TVS Scooty Pep +.
In its stock avatar, the Scooty Pep+ comes with an 87.8 cc single-cylinder engine that outputs a max. power of 5 PS at 6,500 RPM and a peak torque of 5.8 Nm at 4,000 RPM. Looking at these power figures, it gets a bit baffling to see this scooterette dressed in KTM Orange livery.

In its stock avatar, this Scooty’s 87.8 cc single-cylinder engine offers a max. power output of 5 PS at 6,500 RPM and a peak torque of 5.8 Nm at 4,000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a CVT.
Modified TVS Scooty Pep Design
While we do acknowledge all the hard work that has gone into making a rather cutesy and feminine Scooty Pep+ look a bit like the KTM Duke, we most certainly don’t want to end up riding this oddball contraption. This Pep+ gets many panels from the previous generation Duke 200 and even boasts a Trellis frame-like arrangement. It retains the front telescopic forks and rear monoshock. There’s a custom fuel tank that can store upto 2-litres of Petrol. Even the underbelly cowl found on the last-gen Duke 200 has found its way to this modified TVS Scooty Pep +.
The end result is a vehicle that looks nowhere near the Duke 200, but instead comes across as a rather weird mod job. True, we do understand the challenges and various hardships the modifiers must have gone thru, but this modified TVS Scooty Pep + simply fails to look anywhere close to the Austian motorcycle. In our view, it’s a complete waste of money, time and hard work. But hey, you can surely get yourself one of these if you want road-users to look at you with amusement.
