KTM Duke 200 Officially Launched In India – Pictures, Video, Price and Details
KTM has officially launched the 200 CC version of its bike KTM Duke in Malaysia, Asia in the last week of August 2011. The bike was launched in the presence of the Malaysian Prime Minister.
The Duke 200 has been priced very aggressively against the Honda CBR250R and can intensify the competition on the performance bike segment when it arrives in India. The pricing in India is not available as of now, but it is expected to be priced below a tag of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs in India which will create a tough competition for Honda and Yamaha in Indian market. In fact the Hero Honda Karizma will also fall close in terms of the price band, so it maybe a game changer when it arrives here in India.
We have no official information on when it shall be officially launched in India, but we expect it to be launch by end or 2011 or early 2012. The Yamaha R15 is soon to be uncovered in the first week of Sep 2011, so lets see how the pricing and placement of these bikes affect the future preferences of the performance bike buyer in India.
