Volkswagen has introduced limited edition variants of the Polo GT called the Volkswagen Polo GT Sport. This new variant features exterior updates aimed at enhancing the sporty looks of the Polo GT. As part of the Polo GT Sport Limited Edition package, the hatchback gets new 16 inch alloy wheels, decals, black roof among other additions. The new special edition Polo GT costs around 31,000 Rupees more than the standard Polo GT.

As we mentioned earlier, Volkswagen has priced the GT Sport variants at a premium of around Rs 30,000 over the standard Polo GT TSI and TDI variants. Currently, the Polo GT TSI retails for Rs. 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the GT TDI retails for Rs. 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, we are still awaiting confirmation on the prices.

The Polo GT Sport is merely a cosmetic exercise. There are changes to the specifications. Petrol variants of the Polo GT get a 1.2 L unit that makes 105 PS and 175 Nm. Polo GT Sport TDI is powered by a 1.5 L TDI engine that makes 110 PS and 250 Nm. While the GT TSI gets a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, the diesel Polo GT makes do with a 5-speed manual.
