On 25th August 2011, BMW India has launched its SUV BMW X3 New model in India with improved features and aesthetic appeal. The new BMW X3 in India starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs.41.20 Lakhs for the 2 litre Diesel engine variant. The new X3 is larger in size, packs more features, and is more comfortable than the old generation model. BMW has also announced that they will be increasing their production capacity in India to 11,000 units annually from the previous 10,000. They have also increased their workforce in India anticipating good growth in the coming financial year. The X3 has been brought to India as a CDK unit which attracts less duties compared to the CBU units.
