Renault India showcased the AMT-equipped Kwid 1.0 at the Auto Expo 2016. While the 1000cc Kwid was launched earlier this year, the launch of the AMT model has taken place now in November. Renault will sell the Kwid AMT only in the top end RxT(O) trim. The Kwid Easy-R AMT has a sticker price of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). Renault Kwid Easy-R AMT Price

AMT-equipped models generally command a premium of around Rs. 50,000. However, the Easy-R AMT model, at Rs. 4.25 lakh, costs just Rs. 30,000 more. The AMT option is available only on the 1.0 model. Only AMT variant on sale is the fully loaded RxT(O) trim. In comparison, the Alto K10 AMT has a starting price of Rs. 4.05 Lakh. This gives a slight price advantage to the K10. However, Kwid’s longer list of features, crossover-ish looks and more spacious interior justify the higher price tag.

Renault Kwid Easy-R AMT Booking

Renault India dealerships across the country are now accepting bookings for the Kwid 1.0 AMT model. Exterior: The Kwid AMT will look exactly like the 1.0 SCe MT Kwid. This means it continues to impress with the crossover-ish design and modern styling. It benefits from beefy looks and a high ground clearance of 180 mm. The is decidedly more eye-catching than all of its rivals. Our favorite bit of the Design is the front-end, which gives it a mini-Duster look.

Interior: The interior too look the same as the Kwid 1.0 SCe MT model. However, it gets the rotary gear selector on its centre console. Apart from this, the cabin remains bog similar. It continues to impress with its spaciousness. The boot capacity of 300-litres is among the biggest highlights. The cabin boasts good levels of quality for a car in this class.
