Honda Accord Hybrid vs Toyota Camry Hybrid – Price Comparison
Honda Accord Hybrid Price in India | Rs 37 Lakh (estimated) |
Toyota Camry Hybrid Price in India | Rs 30.9 Lakh (ex-showroom) |
The Camry Hybrid comes via CKD route and retails for Rs 30.9 Lakh (ex-showroom). This is only marginally more than the non-hybrid model. Such competitive pricing is owing to the FAME scheme by GOI. The new Accord, being a CBU, doesn’t reap any such benefits. The Accord Hybrid costs significantly more. The new Accord Hybrid has gone on sale for Rs 37 Lakh. Of course, the higher price is due to high import duties and being ineligible to benefit from FAME. So, basically, the new Accord will need to be really better than the Camry to justify its higher price tag.

Honda Accord Hybrid vs Toyota Camry Hybrid – Design Review
Both the cars look handsome and have a good street presence. We’ve always loved the Camry for its clean lines and that futuristic touch. The Accord, too, has a similar design. Both the cars occupy a lot of real estate and have an aura of sophistication. However, the Accord, whilst boasting a very futuristic nose, looks quite a lot like the earlier generation. While this isn’t really a bad thing, there’s a definite mismatch between the front-end and the side profile. It’s still a tough choice between these two. We have always believed that design preferences are highly subjective and it all boils down to personal tastes. Same is the case with these two. While some of you might like the Accord for that futuristic nose, others might prefer the Camry for its butch, distinctly American looks.
Both the cars here have well-appointed cabins. The two cars here offer a great deal of passenger comfort, which is something that the usually chauffeur-driven clientele would appreciate. Again, it’s a tough call between these two as both the interior setups are high on comfort and luxuries.
Honda Accord Hybrid vs Toyota Camry Hybrid – Verdict
Clearly, the new Accord has a lot going for it. It is bigger than the Camry, has more power, and even offers higher fuel efficiency. Actually, the Camry isn’t a bad option, either. Even the Toyota is high on features, has a really comfortable cabin, and offers a really potent Petrol-Hybrid powertrain. More than anything else, the Camry Hybrid is priced really competitively, which alone makes quite a case for this machine. The Accord, on the other hand, outclasses the Camry Hybrid in some of the key areas. Honda Cars India has priced the Accord Hybrid at Rs 37 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). While this is significantly more than the Camry, the new Accord Hybrid just manages to satisfy the premium it commands over the Camry Hybrid.
