Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Launched!

The Fiat Avventura Urban Cross has just been launched. Bookings for the new Fiat car in India have been underway for Rs 21,000. The Avventura Urban Cross made its debut at the Auto Expo 2016. The Avventura Urban Cross is available in both Diesel and Petrol models. It comes in three trims- Active and Dynamic for the Diesel,and only EEmotionfor the Petrol. The Urban Cross is a spin-off of the Avventura, which has so far failed to impress the car buyers. The new Fiat, however, will aim to change this. The Urban Cross aims to make the Punto platform gain more popularity in India. The new Fiat car shares in plenty with the Avventura. However, the biggest highlight is the absence of a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Also, the Urban Cross is a more sporty offering. It even gets the Abarth model’s 1.4-litre Turbo Petrol engine. Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Price in India

The Avventura Urban Cross costs Rs 6.85 Lakh. Powering the top model Urban Cross is the Abarth Avventura’s 1.4-litre Turbo Petrol engine. Also on offer is the 91 BHP 1.3-litre Turbo Diesel motor. The Abarth-powered model costs Rs 9.85 Lakhs. The Diesel is to be sold in two trims- Active and Dynamic. The Petrol model comes in Emotion trim. Deliveries of the Fiat Avventura Urban Cross will start in October 2016.

Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Specifications

Powering the Avventura Urban Cross is the same 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that powers the Abarth Avventura. It has a max. power of 138 BHP at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 210Nm at 2,000 RPM– 4,000 RPM. The Diesel models have a 1.3-litre turbo Diesel engine that develops 91 BHP-209 Nm. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Mileage

The Avventura Urban Cross shares its engine with the Avventura and also its Abarth model. Hence, it will return similar fuel mileage. We expect its Petrol model to offer 11 KMPL in city and 15 KMPL on highway. The Diesel model could offer up to 20 KMPL on the highway.

Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Exterior & Interior Review

The Avventura Urban Cross borrows in plenty from both the Punto and the Avventura. However, the Urban Cross goes on to look more premium and sporty. The Avventura Urban Cross doesn’t get the tailgate-mounted spare wheel, which is a welcome development. The Urban Cross gets a revised front grille, updated bumpers, and new fog lamps. This makes the new Fiat Avventura Urban Cross have a distinct identity whilst building on the clean lines of Punto. The 16-inch wheels look tasty.

Also, bits like the new roof rails, black gloss accents and follow-me-home headlamps are appreciable features. The Urban Cross and Avventura differ in dimensions. The Urban Cross measures 4,000 mm in length, 1,700mm in width and 1,500mm in height. The ground clearance stands at an SUV-rivaling 205mm. The interior gets new upholstery while retaining bits like the Roll and Tilt gauges. For a limited period, till Diwali season, the Urban Cross gets a premium red-black interior as an option.
