Maruti Suzuki has announced increase of prices for its new Engine cars which now comply with the new BS4 emission norms which came into effect from 1 Apr 2010 in 13 Cities in India. The strange thing is that the car prices have been increased across all the car models, even those which did not get any engine upgrade. Some of these are BS-III compliant cars like Maruti 800, Maruti Gypsy etc which will not be sold in the 13 cities with new emission norms. Some of these cars already had BS4 compliant engines.
The Maruti Cars For Which price has been increased are as follows:
- Maruti A-Star – Price Increase of about Rs. 1000
- Maruti Ritz – Price Increase of about Rs. 1000
- Maruti Zen Estilo – Price Increase of about Rs. 2500
- Maruti Omni – Price Increase of about Rs. 3000
- Maruti Swift – Price Increase of about Rs. 3750
- Maruti Swift Dzire – Price Increase of about Rs. 7000
- Maruti SX4 – Price Increase of about Rs. 9000
- Maruti EECO – Price Increase of about Rs. 10000
- Maruti 800 BS-III – Price Increase of about Rs. 3000
- Maruti OMNI LPG BS-III – Price Increase of about Rs. 3000
- Maruti Gypsy BS-III – Price Increase of about Rs. 3000
These are approximate figures in the ex-showroom price of the cars in Delhi.
