Skoda Fabia Scout Officially Launched In India At Rs. 6.67 Lakhs
Skoda India has completed 10 years in India and started the Skoda Celebrations campaign. With impressive growth in luxury sedan segment and strong growth numbers in India, Skoda’s morale is quite high. With the growth momentum being strong and positive, Skoda has promising plans for India for next two years. The roadmap of Skoda India from Mid 2011 to Mid 2013 portrays refreshed and new models across segment of cars.
The fist car to be launched in this lineup is Skoda Laura RS which is due for its launch in a couple of months. Skoda Rapid Sedan is also expected by the end of this year which will be based on the Skoda Fabia small car. The stripped down variant of Skoda Yeti SUV will also make its debut in India towards beginning of 2012 which will be a lower cost Yeti option. Skoda Fabia Scout, the compact crossover SUV will be compete with the likes of Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari. The Fabia scout will come out in first half of year 2012. The Fabia scout will be followed by next generation Skoda Octavia 2012 which will be launched around end of 2012 in India.
Apart from the above 5 cars, there will be two small cars which will be most likely less than 4 meters in length to gain the tax advantage and will be priced aggressively in the volume segment of the India automobile market. More details will uncover with time, but future of Skoda in India seems promising considering the way they have been growing from past two years.
