Hyundai India’s first small SUV, the Creta, has tasted immense success in the market. It has, till date, sold close to 80,000 units within less than a year of its launch. The Hyundai Creta Automatic variants have witnessed very strong demand leading to long waiting periods. Initially, only one automatic variant was on offer and that too, only with the diesel engine option. In April 2016, Creta Petrol automatic was added to the lineup. The latest addition to the Hyundai Creta Automatic price list is the S+ trim available with a 1.6-litre diesel engine and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai Creta diesel is also available with a 1.4 L engine, but as of now, it is not on offer with an optional automatic transmission. Manual variants of the small SUV get a 6-speed gearbox.

Hyundai Creta Automatic Design
The design of the Creta is based on the manufacturer’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, and it fits in perfectly among the likes of rather strikingly designed Elite i20 and the Verna. The talking point of the new car is its front-end, which, at first glance, is slightly reminiscent of the bigger (and pricier) Santa Fe. The front-end of the Creta is characterised by swept-back headlamps that feature LED fixtures and a projector setup each.
The rear-end is where the design fails to leave us impressed. We feel that the rear-end is a bit too busy, and the designers of this compact SUV seem to have lost the plot over here. The design theme of the Creta’s interior mimics that of the i20 twins. Also, the materials used, and the overall fit and finish hardly leaves more to be desired. Overall, the cabin of this car is a pleasant place to be in.
