Toyota Fortuner has sold like hot cakes in India every time Toyota India has opened its bookings. With its aggressive looks, appropriate power and good price point in its segment, Fortunes has many admirers in Indian SUV space. The good is going to get better this year with the Fortuner facelift in pipeline for India in late 2011. The upgrades in the Fortuner will mostly be on the features and aesthetics of the SUV. The engine and powertrain is not expected to be altered in the new model 2012 of Fortuner.
On the cosmetic front, fortune will get new front fascia with refresh grille,new sleeker headlamps, some new silver parts on the underbody of the front bumper for more sporty look. The Fog-lamps have also gone under the knife fir a cosmetic uplift to make Fortuner look better.The rear wind shilled will be wraparound the side edges of the car giving it elegance and sportiness at the same time. There will be turn indicators integrated into the side rear view mirrors fir a better visual appeal.
The engine remains same 3 Litre D-4D CRDI Diesel with intercooler turbocharger with max torque rating of 343 Nm and max power of about 170 BHP.
