Mahindra and Mahindra has launched a low priced version of its popular SUV Mahindra Scorpio. Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Xylo are the two popular cars from Mahindra’s stable in India. Earlier, the lowest priced variant of Scorpio with a BS4 complaint engine was priced at Rs. 8.8 Lakhs, now the lowest priced Scorpio EX costs just Rs. 7.21 Lakhs. This pricing will ensure a lot of additional buyers attraction towards the Mahindra Scorpio who otherwise might not be able to buy it because of the price factor.
Mahindra Scorpio EX Low Cost Model Engine and Specifications
The new EX model of Mahindra Scorpio in India is powered by a 2.5 Litre m2DiCR engine with a max power of 75 BHP and a max torque of 220 Nm. The other models are powered by mEagle engine which produces 120 BHP of power and 290 Nm of torque. The new Scorpio EX can go from 0 to 60 KMPH in 11.2 Seconds.
The new Scorpio EX model delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 14 KMPL. The Scorpio EX comes with Micro Hybrid technology which helps to improve the fuel efficiency of the car. Some of the highlighted features of Scorpio EX include digital Immobilizer for theft protection. The new Scorpio with lesser power has enough torque to make it drivable with its refined engine and delivers a good mileage.
