Renault Kwid vs Datsun Redi-GO vs Wagon R vs Alto K10 vs Datsun Go – Design Comparison
We usually refrain from giving an outright verdict on the looks of a vehicle because that is a matter of personal taste. Still, we think most will agree when we say that the Renault Kwid is easily one of the best-looking cars here. The crossover like appearance, resemblance to the Duster and Captur, all work together very well to give the Kwid a unique identity. The other head-turner here is the Redi-GO. Datsun’s designers did not deviate much from the concept that was showcased a few years back, which means the car gets a very modern exterior ensuring the design will age very well. The Maruti Alto K10 is a step down from the previous model in terms of design. However, it does look better than the Wagon R, whose tall stance and boxy shape isn’t to our liking. As far as the Datsun Go is concerned, while we like how it looks from rear angles, the front is a bit awkwardly designed and looks odd. The interiors of all four hatchbacks are equally matched in terms of design and quality. The Kwid’s interiors get a digital instrument cluster and touchscreen display.
Renault Kwid vs Datsun Redi-GO vs Wagon R vs Alto K10 vs Datsun Go – Verdict
With a really attractive price tag, a spacious cabin and a good ride and handling setup, the Kwid and Redi-GO, offer unbeatable value for money. True, they don’t get the most powerful engine of the lot, but they hold a definite advantage over the rest in terms of price and value for money. However, Renault and Datsun India do not have an answer to Maruti’s bulletproof after-sales network and brand image.
Design – Kwid’s crossover -like styling seems to have won Indian hearts. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to the Redi-GO’s striking exterior.
Features – Entry-level hatchbacks aren’t really known for their features. The Maruti WagonR is ahead of the rest in this department.
Specifications – The 796 cc engine powering the Kwid and the Redi-GO is the smaller one here. The Datsun GO’s petrol is the biggest in terms of capacity. The Kwid and Redi-GO are among the most fuel-efficient cars on sale in India.
Price – Datsun Redi-GO becomes the cheapest car on sale among the ones mentioned here. Followed closely by the Kwid. Wagon R is the most expensive, but also the most feature rich offering.
