Aero Sport edition brings along a host of cosmetic updates for the XF

Famous British luxury car marque, Jaguar, has launched the XF Aero-Sport edition in India. The new Jaguar XF Aero Sport India-spec model is based on the 2.2-litre Diesel engine variant and brings along a handful of cosmetic updates to enhance the car’s aesthetic appeal. Speaking on the launch of the new Jaguar XF Aero Sport, Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India, said, “Jaguar XF is known for its dynamic design, impeccable performance, refined drive and effortless power. Price

The new Jaguar XF Aero Sport is priced at INR 52 lakhs (ex-Showroom, Mumbai). The Jaguar XF comes to us via CBU-route and is assembled at the manufacturer’s facility in Maharashtra.

The new Jaguar XF Aero Sport variant has gone on sale with four exterior paint options – Polaris White, Ultimate Black, Sapphire Blue and Odyssey Red

Specification

Powering the new XF Aero Sport is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor that has a maximum power of 187.74 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Jaguar claims that the XF Aero Sport is capable of hitting 100 km/h from standstill in 8.5 seconds.

Currently, Jaguar India sells the XF sedan in three engine variants – 2.0-litre Petrol, 2.2-litre Diesel, and 3.0-litre V6 Diesel.

The current generation XF will be replaced by an all-new model, which made its public debut at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. The new generation 2016 XF sedan is underpinned by a new-age light-weight platform. For the record, the new generation XF is as much as 190 kgs lighter than the current model. India launch of the new generation XF is expected to take place in the second half of 2016.
