Mitsubishi and Nissan are two brands which are completely unique in their own way and are known for some of the finest products globally and in India as well. Talking about Mitsubishi, it reminds us of the iconic and very dynamic Mitsubishi Lancer which made a mark in the Indian automobile industry while the Nissan is known for its recent addition Nissan Micra.
Both the brands have their own appeal and certainly have a good relationship with its customers and now their bond is supposed to get stronger. The two Japanese automakers have announced of a venture where they will be working on a new mini-car concept. With no details in hand about the small car they will be working on, it is expected to be even smaller than the Mitsubishi Global Small Car.
For the new joint venture, Nissan’s Senior Vice President Junichi Endo has been appointed as CEO while Mitsubishi Motors Senior Executive Officer takes the place of the COO.
Currently being displayed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the global small car is going to feature highly efficient 1 Litre and 1.2 Litre MPFI Petrol engine with 5 speed manual transmission, Start Stop technology (Micro Hybrid) and Regenerative braking technology. Now it is to be seen what new design and innovations these brands collectively come out with how acceptable the new mini car would be.
