Audi RS6 Avant Launched at Rs. 1.35 Crore
Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the famed Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer, has launched the performance-focused RS6 Avant in India on 4th June 2015. It maybe noted that station wagons have never found much favor from our car buying lot and Audi India is about to step into some uncharted territory by bringing in the RS6 Avant. The RS6 Avant is based on the station wagon body variant of the A6, and while the A6 has been around for four generations now, the RS6 first came with the second generation model. Unlike the last two generations of the RS6, which were available in both sedan and wagon body types, the third generation model is available only in Avant (station wagon) body style. With the RS6 Avant, Audi India plans to leave a mark in the fast growing niche segment of our country’s car market.

Powering the Audi RS6 Avant is a 4.0 TFSI V8 that churns out a maximum power of 560 bhp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. If company figures are to be believed, the RS6 Avant can sprint to 100 kmph in supercar-rivaling 3.9 seconds, Among the highlights of this car’s engine is the cylinder-on demand technology with Audi’s valvelift, which means only half the cylinders operate under sedate driving. which, coupled with the start-stop system, leads to considerable savings in the fuel consumption.
