Maruti Ciaz could soon get LED Daytime Running Lamps and racing stipes
While Maruti Suzuki is yet to launch the sporty RS variant of the Ciaz sedan, a spy pic of what could be the first update for Maruti’s upper C-segment sedan has surfaced on the cyber space. The latest spy pic shows a black Ciaz that sports LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and a white racing strip on the hood. As can be seen, the LED DRLs for the Ciaz are NOT built into the headlamps units and instead, have been integrated into the bumper and are positioned just below the headlamps. Nothing’s for sure, but in all probability, this model could be launched in coming days. The Ciaz shown in the pic seems to be the ZXi variant, but in all probability, the LED DRLs would be found on all trim levels.

As we just said, Maruti is also working on a ‘RS’ variant of the Ciaz. The highlight of this variant would be a sport body kit and in all chances, there won’t be any changes under the hood. It maybe noted that the Ciaz has been doing fairly well on the sales charts and while it is true that the latest Maruti Suzuki sedan hasn’t displaced the rather invincible Honda City from the top of the sales charts, the new arrival has surely left a dent on the sales of its rival. Our belief is that the upcoming variants and updates for the Ciaz will enhance this sedan’s coolness quotient, which could further lure some more car buyers away from the City.

Currently, all the Maruti Ciaz variants are priced in the range of INR 8-9.5 Lakhs. We believe that the addition of the LED DRLs won’t really lead to a significant change in the prices.
