New Model Chevrolet Cruze has been spied in California
What you see here on this page are pics of the new model Chevrolet Cruze, which has been recently spotted testing during its commercial photoshoot in Ontario, California. As can be seen in these images here, the next generation of the popular Chevrolet sedan gets an all-new exterior design that looks far more athletic and modern than its predecessor. It maybe noted that the Cruze has been among the most successful nameplates from Chevrolet in recent times and this model has been fairly successful in leaving a huge dent in the popularity of established cars like the Toyota Corolla and the Volkswagen Jetta. In India, the Cruze rivals the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and the refreshed VW Jetta.

Design
The talking point of the new model Chevrolet Cruze in the design department has to be its fast swooping headlamps. which are not just far sleeker than those on the Cruze we know of, but on the same time, also look like a highly evolved version of the current units. Another highlight is the two character lines that run across the new Cruze’s body, thereby giving it a much edgier look. At the rear, the car gets some really interesting taillamps and as we were all expecting, the design of the new car borrows takes plenty of cues from the new Malibu.

Specs
In all likelihood, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will come with a new range of motors that will include –
- 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol
- 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel
- Plug-in hybrid version
Unlike the current model, the new car is expected to come with a dual-clutch transmission and the car will go on sale in sedan, estate, and hatchback body type.

The new model Chevrolet Cruze release date is expected to fall late this year and the next-gen car could be unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show. Our guess is that the all-new Chevrolet Cruze will be sufficiently potent to fend off new rivals like the new generation Toyota Corolla and the Ford Focus.
