While Nissan hasn’t yet given out an official word on the launch of the Nissan Patrol SUV in India, it did conduct surveys at the Carnival to study the feasibility of bringing the Patrol to our shores. The Nissan Patrol is powered by a 5.8-litre V8 petrol engine that belts out a maximum power of 400 bhp engine and features an All-Mode 4×4 drivetrain with Multi Surface Selection and Hydraulic Body Motion Control Suspension System. We put the legendary SUV through its paces on a purpose-built off-road track and had a first-hand experience of the Patrol’s off-roading prowess. Also, we sampled the Leaf on a specially-designed driving course and explored the dynamic capabilities and sheer comfort of the Leaf EV. The Leaf is powered by a 80Kw AC electric motor that delivers 254Nm of torque, along with offering a whisper-quiet drive and with ‘zero’ tailpipe emissions.
