2015 model Chevrolet Captiva launched in India at INR 25.13 lakhs
The Indian subsidiary of General Motors has launched the 2015 model Chevrolet Captiva in our fast growing car market. The new 2015 model Chevrolet Captiva comes with a handful of additional features that should work together to make this car more desirable. Commenting on the launch of the updated Chevrolet Captiva, Mr. Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director, General Motors India, said: “The launch of the all new MY 15 Captiva is in line with our business plan of capturing the all important SUV market and growing our market share. The Captiva has been warmly welcomed in markets around the world due to its combination of distinctive styling, refinement, best-in-class safety, comfort and versatility and powerful yet frugal diesel powertrain.”.

Price
Much like the outgoing model, the 2015 model Captiva is being offered with manual and automatic transmission options. The MT variant has been priced at INR 25.13 lakhs, while the AT variant retails for INR 27.36 lakhs (all prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi)

The model year 2015 Captiva gets new features in the form of a new Cluster Ionizer that produces ions to purify and deodorize cabin interiors and a new Instrument Cluster for improved visibility among other attributes.

Specs
Powering the Captiva is a powerful 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that pumps out a maximum power of 186.5bhp @ 3800 RPM and a peak torque of 400 Nm @ 2000 RPM. It also gets an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system and a six speed auto ‘box over the manual transmission variant.
Safety
6 Airbags – Driver and front passenger airbags, Seat side and Roof side Airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters, and height-adjustable front seatbelts come standard on the Captiva. It also gets a four-channel ABS with brake assist-equipped discs.
