2015 Mercedes B Class Facelift India Launch Takes Place; Comes with minor visual tweaks
Mercedes Benz today launched the 2015 B Class (facelift) in India. The Mercedes B Class facelift, much like the model it replaces, has been made available in India in both petrol and diesel engine variants and goes on sale for a starting price of INR 27.95 lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The updated B Class comes with minor styling tweaks and a couple of new features, all of which work together to make this entry-level Merc more desirable. Price
As we said, the new B Class 2015 has gone on sale for a starting price of INR 27.95 lacs (for the B180 petrol engine variant). The B200 diesel is priced at INR 28.95 lakhs (all prices are ex-Showroom, Mumbai).
Styling and Features Changes
As we said, the B Class facelift carries several visual tweaks that impart a sense of sportiness to the otherwise rather safely styled MPV. The highlights of the updated styling package comprise of sportier bumpers at both ends, new side skirts, new design mag wheels, updated headlamps that boast of LED fixtures and updated taillights.
On the inside, the B Class facelift gets a new steering wheel, which comes from the new C Class, satellite navigation and an updated 7-inch touchscreen interface for the infotainment system.
Specs
The 2015 B Class carries over its engines from the outgoing model. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder motor that pumps out 121 bhp and 200 Nm. On the other hand, the diesel variant of the B Class gets a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that has a maximum power of 134 bhp and peak torque of 300 Nm. Both the motors come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
